Jaguar Industries' J-350 heat shrink tubing is an irradiated modified polyvinylidene fluoride (KYNAR®) thin-walled product engineered to meet demanding MIL-I-23053/8, AMS-3593, and UL specifications for military, aerospace, chemical processing, and high-reliability applications requiring superior chemical resistance and high-temperature performance. Rated for continuous operation from -55°C to 175°C, this premium fluoropolymer tubing provides exceptional mechanical strength and high-temperature properties combined with resistance to most industrial chemicals. When heated above 175°C, J-350 shrinks to form a skintight cover, making it ideal for applications requiring precise fit and superior protection. The transparent construction allows for easy visual inspection of underlying components, part numbers, color codes, and proper installation verification. With a 2:1 shrink ratio, this thin-walled tubing ensures excellent coverage while maintaining minimal space requirements. Available in thirteen sizes ranging from 3/64 inch to 2 inches, covering applications from delicate electronic components to larger industrial assemblies. Standard clear color provides maximum visibility with custom colors available subject to minimum quantities for special applications requiring identification or coding. Ultra-thin wall construction ranging from .010 inches to .022 inches nominal recovered wall thickness ensures minimal space requirements while providing robust insulation and mechanical protection. Packaged in convenient 4-foot lengths for easy handling and installation, with custom cut pieces available for specific applications requiring precise lengths. Outstanding physical properties include exceptional 5500 PSI tensile strength (highest among all products), 350% ultimate elongation for good flexibility, +1,-10% longitudinal change for dimensional stability, and 1.7 specific gravity. Low temperature flexibility verified with no cracking after 4 hours at -55°C. Self-extinguishing flammability rating meets UL 224 VW-1 test ensuring fire safety in critical applications. Excellent electrical insulation properties with 900 V/mil dielectric strength and 10¹⁵ ohm-cm volume resistivity make J-350 ideal for high-voltage applications requiring chemical resistance. Exceptional chemical resistance is a key differentiator, with excellent ratings across all categories: fuel and oil resistance, solvent resistance, abrasion resistance, acid resistance, and alkali resistance, combined with non-corrosive performance and non-nutrient properties for fungus resistance. This comprehensive chemical resistance makes J-350 the premium choice for the most demanding chemical environments. Perfect for component jacketing in harsh chemical environments, chemical processing equipment wire protection, aerospace applications requiring high temperature and chemical resistance, military electronics exposed to fuels and solvents, automotive under-hood applications with extreme temperatures, pharmaceutical and biotech equipment, semiconductor manufacturing environments, oil and gas industry applications, industrial control systems in chemical plants, laboratory instrumentation, medical device assemblies requiring sterilization resistance, telecommunications equipment in harsh outdoor environments, renewable energy installations, and any application requiring premium heat shrink tubing with superior chemical resistance, high-temperature performance, thin-wall construction, transparency for inspection, and MIL-SPEC reliability. The combination of KYNAR® fluoropolymer material, irradiated construction for enhanced properties, thin-walled design, transparent appearance, exceptional chemical resistance across all major categories, highest tensile strength, and wide temperature range makes J-350 the ultimate choice for the most demanding applications requiring long-term reliability and performance in harsh chemical and high-temperature environments where standard polyolefin or other heat shrink materials would be insufficient or fail prematurely.
