About Shrink Tubing JT-125 - MIL-I-23053/4
Jaguar Industries' JT-125 heat shrink tubing represents the premium standard for adhesive-lined heat shrinkable protection, meeting rigorous MIL-I-23053/4 Class 2 specifications for military and aerospace applications. This electrical grade flexible polyolefin tubing features a thin layer of thermoplastic adhesive that creates a waterproof environmental seal when heated. Rated for continuous operation from -55°C to 110°C, the JT-125 is designed to provide superior protection for wire splices, cable terminations, and sensitive components in harsh environments. When heated above 121°C, the adhesive melts and flows into intimate contact with the substrate as the outer polyolefin tube shrinks with a 2:1 shrink ratio. Upon cooling, the adhesive solidifies to form a flexible, waterproof barrier that provides excellent strain relief, mechanical protection, and environmental sealing. Available in nine standard sizes from 1/8 inch to 2 inches to accommodate various wire gauges and cable diameters. Black tubing is flame-retardant and meets UL 224 flammability requirements for self-extinguishing performance. Clear tubing is also available for applications requiring visual inspection of underlying connections. The adhesive layer provides exceptional peel strength: 30 PLI on polyethylene, 10 PLI on PVC, 15 PLI on lead, and 40 PLI on aluminum surfaces. Outstanding physical properties include 2100 PSI tensile strength, 450% ultimate elongation, and excellent low temperature flexibility with no cracking after 4 hours at -55°C. Superior chemical resistance to fuels, oils, solvents, and hydraulic fluids makes JT-125 ideal for marine and automotive applications. Non-corrosive and non-nutritive to fungus growth. Electrical properties include 800 V/mil dielectric strength and 10¹⁵ ohm-cm volume resistivity for reliable insulation performance. Standard packaging in convenient 4-foot lengths with custom cut pieces available upon request. Other colors available for special orders subject to minimum quantities.
