About Spiral Wrap Tubing J-SWP, J-SWN, J-SWT
Jaguar Industries' spiral wrap tubing family offers three high-performance material options engineered specifically for wire harness breakout applications and flexible cable protection. The unique spiral cut design allows the tubing to wrap tightly around wire bundles while permitting easy breakout connections between the wraps, making it ideal for complex harness assemblies requiring multiple branch points. Each material offers distinct advantages: J-SWP polyethylene provides the most economical solution for general-purpose applications, J-SWN nylon offers superior mechanical protection and abrasion resistance, and J-SWT PTFE delivers exceptional temperature capability and complete chemical inertness. The plastic is extruded as a continuous tube and then spirally cut to create a flexible cover that can be easily applied to existing installations without disconnecting components or removing connectors. The spiral design wraps securely around wires and cables, providing protection while maintaining flexibility for routing through tight spaces and around obstacles. J-SWP polyethylene spiral wrap operates reliably from -75°C to 100°C, offering excellent chemical resistance to most acids, bases, and solvents, moisture barrier properties, and cost-effective protection for industrial and commercial applications. J-SWN nylon spiral wrap extends the temperature range from -85°C to 120°C while delivering the highest mechanical protection among the three options with superior tensile strength, outstanding abrasion resistance, excellent resistance to fuels and oils, and toughness for demanding automotive and industrial environments. J-SWT PTFE spiral wrap provides the widest temperature range from -85°C to 260°C combined with complete chemical inertness to virtually all industrial chemicals, maximum resistance to environmental exposure, non-flammability, and biocompatibility for medical and pharmaceutical applications. Available in seven standard sizes from 1/8 inch through 1 inch nominal O.D., covering applications from small wire assemblies to large cable bundles. J-SWP and J-SWN are offered in natural and black colors for visibility and identification options, while J-SWT is available in natural PTFE color. Packaged on convenient spools for efficient installation and minimal waste. The spiral wrap design enables tool-free installation, simply wrapping the tubing around the wire bundle with overlapping turns to achieve desired coverage density. The flexible nature allows the tubing to follow complex routing paths, expand to accommodate connectors and inline components, and provide access points for branch connections without removing the protection. Perfect for automotive wire harness assemblies requiring multiple breakouts, industrial control panel wiring with branch circuits, robotics cable management with articulating joints, telecommunications equipment interconnections, aerospace wire harness protection requiring flame resistance, medical device cable assemblies needing chemical resistance, appliance wiring harness organization, computer and network cable management, HVAC system control wiring, marine electronics installations exposed to moisture, agricultural equipment wiring subject to abrasion, entertainment and audio-visual cable protection, laboratory instrumentation requiring chemical inertness (PTFE), food processing equipment wiring requiring cleanability, and any application requiring spiral wrap tubing with easy breakout capability, flexible protection, material-specific properties, and efficient installation. The combination of three material options with different temperature ranges and chemical resistance characteristics, spiral cut design enabling easy application and breakout connections, seven standard sizes accommodating various cable diameters, color options for identification, spool packaging for convenience, and the ability to install without disassembly makes J-SWP, J-SWN, and J-SWT spiral wrap tubing the versatile solution for wire harness and cable protection applications requiring flexibility, breakout capability, material-specific performance, and efficient installation where conventional sleeving or tubing cannot provide the required access for branch connections.
