🔌 Selecting the Right Wire

Temperature Rating: Match wire temperature rating to your application. PVC for general use (-40°C to +105°C), PTFE for high temperatures (up to +260°C).

Voltage Rating: Select voltage rating higher than your circuit voltage. Consider derating factors for bundling and elevated temperatures.

Conductor Type: Solid for stationary applications, stranded for flexibility, highly-stranded for vibration resistance.

Environment: Consider chemical exposure, abrasion, moisture, and UV exposure when selecting insulation material.

Common Applications

  • Control panels and switchgear
  • Electronic equipment and appliances
  • Aerospace and military systems
  • Medical devices and equipment
  • Industrial machinery and automation
  • HVAC controls and thermostats
  • Test equipment and instrumentation
  • Automotive and transportation
  • Robotics and moving equipment
  • High-temperature ovens and furnaces
  • Chemical processing equipment
  • Power distribution and grounding
